Well thank goodness! The show last night was so fun and by the grace of god my voice worked. I swear I thought it was gonna be in trouble but the audience had such positive energy from the get go I think it fixed me. So thank you to all you music lovers who brought good vibes with them to the show.
And I met some lovely people after for a meet and greet. Really Zurich is a really sweet place. Everyone is in such a good mood, or they were when I met them. It was nice :) Now I'm in Austria Vienna. I've had a very interesting day. I'm learning about life as a local. I'm living on the bus again now, so I'm about 20 minutes away from the band and crew who are at the hotel. So, after I'd cleaned the bus from head to toe I thought rather than mill around all day. Why not go and find a much needed massage. My back is aching alil because I'm too bloody tall for the bus so I have to bend as I walk. Not quite the catwalk look but it gets me from A to B.
So, Sven my lovely bus driver and now house mate found this 'spa' for me to go to. Very sweet of him and he got me a cab to get there. When I got there I didn't really know what to do. There wasn't anyone there to take your name for the appointment it just looked like a family public swimming pool, which it was I am to find out with massages and all that jazz . So I went to ask one of ladys 'where do I go for the massage?'. Blank looks is all I got for about 15 minutes. No one spoke english. Why should they? They are not in England. But still this was a bit of a shit for me because that's the only language I've got. Terrible I know. How lazy, arrogant and English of me. But hey such is life. I did my best with what I do have. Hand gestures and mime.
So I finally found the massage place. It was short. Only 25 minutes. But it was so lovely. She only really did the left side of my back. Strange but the left side was feeling great.. Kinda awkard for the right side that is feeling slightly neglected and confused, but all good none the less.
So after that I thought hay why not join the hundreds of people in the pool. Nice bit chilly tho... Oh why not go to the sauna! After much pointing and miming I found it. There is a young man stood by the entrance. You have to swipe ur wrist band before you go in. As soon as I had past the door I saw lots and lots of completely stark bollock naked men walking around like it was nothing. Firstly I thought 'shit I've walked into the mens', but no I was wrong. I turned to the fully dressed young man who was manning the doors. I could tell he about to burst into laughter at the shock on my face. All of a sudden I came over all shy, like I was obligated to take all of my clothes off. This was unisex bare in mind, so I say to him 'um.... Why is everyone naked ' he smiles and says in his austrian accent 'oh, everysing is naked in here'. Ok so maybe I sound up tight... I just had to leave .... I know I'm a wuss ... And nakedness is beautiful ect ect ... But let the truth be told, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and today I was not the beholder! Just a lil red in the face and lost... Oh the fun I have on my random day trips. :)Back
