London, 7 September 2009 - Celebrating a decade dedicated to supporting breast cancer research and awareness programs, Hard Rock International today announced plans for its Hard Rock’s PINKTOBER™ Presents: Women of Rock charity gala event. Scheduled for Sunday 1 November at the Royal Albert Hall in London, the concert will stage exclusive performances from some of the foremost females in modern pop music, including Melanie C, Joss Stone, Bananarama, Jamelia, Bonnie Tyler, Escala, Sharon Corr and Tulisa (N - Dubz), plus the leading ladies from the West End hit theatre show Mamma Mia.

Tickets are priced from £35 - £45 and go on sale Friday September 11th at 9am at 0845 401 5031 or at www.RoyalAlbertHall.com.

This year’s PINKTOBER program marks the 10-year anniversary of Hard Rock’s support in raising awareness and finding a search for a cure for breast cancer. The campaign features limited-edition products, as well as a series of live music and fundraising events at Hard Rock establishments around the world. In the UK, funds will be raised for the Caron Keating Foundation, which offers financial support and grants to all types of cancer charities, professional carers, complimentary healing practitioners, as well as individuals and families who are affected by the disease.

"We are proud to embark on our 10 year of helping find a cure for breast cancer," said Sean Dee, Vice President and CMO, Hard Rock International. "The answer is out there and together we’ll find it."

Joss Stone adds, "I always try and support as many charities as I can and Breast Cancer is extra important to me, being a Woman. I hope to make a small difference."

"I'm really happy to take part in another fundraising event for the Caron Keating Foundation following my PINKTOBER show at Hard Rock Cafe Manchester last year,” Melanie C commented. “Hard Rock organise their events so well and I am delighted that this show at the Royal Albert Hall is donating profits to such a wonderful charity."

Gloria Hunniford, co-founder of the Caron Keating Foundation, added, "I am so thrilled that Hard Rock Cafe has chosen to support the Caron Keating Foundation again. We are very much a family run organisation, and as Caron's mother, it is my privilege to administrate the Foundation with our only expense being a part-time secretary. We give grants to cancer charities of all types and knowing we are doing this in Caron's name, is part of my own healing. Within our family, we have all in our working lives been involved in the music industry. Caron used to present a television rock programme as well as hosting occasionally 'Top of the Pops' and I know, she would truly approve of PINKTOBER and how many people dealing with cancer will be helped through your efforts in raising money.’

Beginning in early September, Hard Rock’s PINKTOBER merchandise will be sold at Hard Rock properties worldwide, including Cafes, Hotels, Casinos and on www.hardrock.com.

The series of events support local breast cancer charities across the world, and proceeds from each event throughout the month goes to the chosen charities. Last year saw Melanie C, Banarama, Hue and Cry, Staind, Starsailor and Beverley Knight all perform live for PINKTOBER in the UK. PINKTOBER 2009 will tour the UK this October with Fun Loving Criminals playing Hard Rock Cafe London on October 14 and The Law playing Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh on October 15.
